The University of Bologna Law Review is pleased to announce the Eighth Edition of the UBLR Colloquium, dedicated to artificial intelligence and its key legal implications.

Prof. Gianclaudio Malgieri — Associate Professor of Law and Technology, eLaw – Centre for Law and Digital Technologies, Leiden Law School, Leiden University

Prof. Ugo Ruffolo — Full Professor of Civil Law (ret.), Department of Legal Studies, University of Bologna

The Colloquium will explore the relationship between artificial intelligence and law — with particular focus on data protection, European regulation, the safeguarding of vulnerable subjects, and civil liability — examining the role of law in governing the development and deployment of AI systems at the intersection of technological innovation, fundamental rights, accountability, and risk allocation.
