The main purpose of this paper is to familiarise the reader with how foreign investors are protected in Uzbekistan under its BITs. Thus, the paper will analyse BIT clauses of Uzbekistan and investor-state dispute resolution mechanisms available under Uzbek BITs. Throughout the following paper, the reader will notice that although Uzbek BITs contain some provisions inherent in modern BITs in terms of investor-state dispute settlement there is still room for improvement. Therefore, recommendations for improvement will be provided at the end of this article.Downloads
