Call for new Visiting Editors

We have recently established the Visiting Editor Program in order to allow foreign law students into our Editorial Team for a three-month term, which can be renewed for three further months. We believe that they would strongly benefit from an experience in an European student-run law journal, with an Advisory Board composed of professionals and scholars from all over the world, and a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

You must:

  • be currently enrolled in a law school, or a very recent graduate;
  • have a very good knowledge of the English language;
  • have an interest in working in an international environment;
  • be very confident in using technology;
  • have a strong motivation.

We manage the whole editorial process online. This allows all our Editors based in Bologna to work alongside our Editors attending dual degree programs (and thus studying in Paris, London, or Tilburg), as well as Editors abroad for mobility programs - such as Erasmus+ - and Visiting Editors.

We strongly believe that learning how to work online is a key asset for future careers (both in academia and in the legal profession).

The University of Bologna Law Review will evaluate candidacies based on merit. The admission process is composed of two steps:

  1. A first interview with a selected Managing Editor. The purpose of this interview is to get to know you better from the motivational and linguistic point of view.
  2. A second interview with a second selected Managing Editor. The purpose of this interview is to evaluate your full compatibility with the University of Bologna Law Review.

There is no deadline for submitting the application, as we recruit Visiting Editors all year round.

If you are interested in participating in the University of Bologna Law Review, please send a copy of your résumé at bolognalawreview@unibo.it. Should you need any further information, please feel free to email us.
